The weather is surely feeling like fall now, I was driving with my windows down the other day and realized how wonderful the cool breeze feels! I believe that taking the time to appreciate the little things in life is extremely important because it helps you take a step back from whatever you're consumed in and see that there are bigger things in life.
Whenever I get carried away stressing over work, blogging or just life in general, I try to remind myself that if my world was to end tomorrow, would all this really matter? As long as I know I have a good network of supportive family and friends, food to eat, clothes on my back and a bed to sleep at the end of the day, I really have everything. I work hard because I like being productive and feeling useful -- I also want to strive to do things that I am proud of.
Over time, I noticed myself becoming more negative and I didn't like that. I tried to figure out what was causing the change and found that I was constantly comparing myself to others, especially through blogging. It took me a long time to be able to see through the clouded vision and focus back on why I really started blogging -- to share. I started The Weekend Diary because I wanted to share my ideas and opinions with other like-minded people but somewhere along the line I got lost.
So I want to thank you for continuing to come back to the blog day after day to read my posts and engage with me. It's so incredible to think that a girl like me can reach out to so many people out there, whom I've never met in person, and still be able to connect with them through our shared interests :)
